FAQ
Frequently asked questions about ChargePeer.
What is ChargePeer?
ChargePeer is a decentralized P2P EV charging marketplace. It connects EV drivers ("Seekers") with individuals and businesses who own charging stations ("Providers"), enabling direct energy transactions without a central operator.
How does it work?
Seekers browse available chargers on a real-time radar map, filter by plug type, price, and rating, then book and pay per session. Providers list their charging stations, set their own rates, and earn VSC credits for each session completed.
What are VSC credits?
VSC (Vehicle Supply Credit) is the digital currency used on ChargePeer. Seekers top up their wallet with VSC credits to pay for charging sessions. Providers earn VSC credits for energy supplied. Credits can be transferred, spent, or withdrawn.
How much does it cost?
ChargePeer charges a 15% platform fee on each transaction. There are no monthly subscriptions or hidden fees. Providers set their own per-Hour rates, and Seekers see the total cost before booking.
How do I become a Provider?
Sign up for an account, switch to Provider mode, and list your charging station. You can set availability, pricing, and plug types. Once approved, Seekers in your area can find and book your station.
What plug types are supported?
ChargePeer supports all standard EV connector types including CCS, CHAdeMO, Type 2, Type 1 (J1772), and Tesla (with adapter). Providers list their available plug types on their station profile.
Is ChargePeer available in my area?
ChargePeer is expanding globally. The radar map shows all available stations near your current location. If coverage is limited in your area, consider becoming a Provider to help grow the network.
